Outside the Dream Foundation has selected three major areas
of focus.
Many villager’s have no schools to attend. The nearest
school can be miles away and difficult to reach. The foundation
finds those villages and helps them create inviting learning
environments at the primary and senior secondary levels. Vocational
training programs are often included, providing future income
earning potential for those who may not have the desire to
attend university.
Grinding poverty, disease and war has left many Ugandans homeless,
orphaned and without tuition fees, funds for school supplies,
or room and board, making it impossible to attend school.
The foundation seeks to identify and provide scholarships
to those students with the greatest need and highest academic
excellence.
Former child soldiers have lost years spent in the bush, held
captive by the rebels. Many of these students are picking
up the pieces of their shattered lives. Some have families
to provide for, and have no hope of ever getting back to school.
Outside the Dream offers micro-finance opportunities to these
individuals, helping them get back on their feet and finish
their education while providing food and shelter for their
dependents.
